Just a bit of advice for those in central zone. Sodom may be able to track and punish crimes but they cannot prevent attacks. I suggest having an adequate defense, a palisade with an exit crossroad at the minimum. For the more organized villages, you should have a few people capable of combat. Make yourself less attractive for griefers and raiders.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

You do realize sodom had a brick wall up...

Like, before the bandage bug was fixed, right?

thx for reminding me at the thousand pieces of clay i dug *shivers*

but what exactly, you are trying to say? that we made it up pretty fast after the creation of the new world? this was born out of necessairity, since from the time our first neighbour realized, that there were former wv members with us, they started some constant griefing, so we bundled our efforts to make our city safe as fast as possible. i can recommend that for any village btw.

This.

It's really like the middle ages. Village life is so dull that all the peasents come to IRC and the forums anytime someone gets executed or there is a brawl between villages. He'll I imagine it's even exciting when someone steals a cow or a goat.

of course the game starts to get dull a bit after playing it for some time, when you just stick at the things given by it, like doing all the crafts and learning all the skills - except swimming.

so we ride the back of the metagame beast, looking where it will lead us.

No, it's just the first point of reference I can recall. Basically, a way of saying /very/ early.

I think he meant that Sodom can't act as a defending power that protects you from attack, not that Sodom can't put up a brick wall. Who can't dig up 2000+ units of clay for bricks anyway?

I don't think he knows what he meant, if indeed he meant anything at all :|

I believe my camp is in SG C3 but after my leader mapped the region nearby, I can't find any definitive landmarks. We're somewhat close to Constantinople, and he believes we're northeast of it, but I can't seem to match anything up.

Any kind of advice we could get? I'd love to find out I'm in your center of protection, once we build our camp into a village. =D
