What do u estimate was his melee? and were the arrows shooting through your armour like ranger bow shots?

you should have just logged out and waited till they left. unless you have thanes rings of your own, you were not going to be able to fight him. he has a dragon helmet, which means he probably also has thanes.

well the first 2 arrows missed and his first melee shot reduced my defense to almost nothing. I dont know what i was thinking going out to fight, and looking back i should have just logged out like you said and told the others to do likewise. then my village wouldn't be scattered the way it is. the guy with the bow was taking shots at running people so he must have had alot of skill, and the guy with the helmet was just punching the nubs. so i don't know his melee. but from what i did see, id say... maybe around 60 as high as 90. not sure though. after that the two who did the killing, another guy, and the ex-villager(his game name is draphusion, he is a treacherous bastard. and don't deny it draph, i saw you walking around and talking with them) went around taking what they could and destroying hearth fires. what i'm worrying about now is gathering up my village. If you couldn't beat someone with 90 melee then your decision to run out was really, really stupid. Thanes and dragon helmet alone will provide that much and most killers at least got 200 unbuffed melee or more, so you might want to change your estimate to between 200 and 300 melee. Every farmer in Sodom could beat a raider with 90 melee, because we don't want our people to die like pigs when it comes to a situation like this and I would advice every bigger town to train all their people at least a little in combat too.

only reasonable thing i can see here is to do an all out attack on sodom with like 50 new hearthlings and the remainder of your village.Make sure when you do this that no 1 is on not even a farmer or else your whole attack will fail as he stands at a doorway screaming YOU SHALL NOT PASS and 1 hitting ye all.

in seriousness though.your town has been around for pretty long now hasnt it?Or at least you have why havent you put more into combat skills

actually it was pretty new, most of our villagers were nubs who didn't even have rage, and most of them didnt want to pump up combat skills. thanks for the complement on the grave.
