And it's fun to stomp on other people's
castles and hope they try and stop you.

The question is simply telling about how he perceives the game.

To some it is a number of content consumables. Once you have all the gear, all the skills, have killed all the animals etc, that's it. You've won the game, no need to play further.

To others it's more about an on-going environment to exist and interact within. New content is nice in that it gives us toys to play with, but on the whole the world is a sand box that we make castles in, then kick them over and make different (better) sand castles.

socialisers, killers, explorers and achievers - These are the four base MMMORPG player types.
For achievers, explaining why you keep playing after you reach the summit is ridiculous to them, they achieve, and move on. :)

I feel the four types is an over simplification but in general I understand and agree with your point.

Except I'm an achiever and I don't see how you can finish achieving in a sandbox like hh. There is always another goal behind the corner only limit is your ambition.

no righteous man raises his hand against the innocent,
a man need only strike another to make him evil."

I don't think there are any "achievers" in this game, there is always room to improve, and never any endgame.

There are milestones to reach still.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
