I met a Russian once on one of my trips. Nice guy. I asked him if he wanted to trade, as I was looking for some food and had extra hides and string. He called me what I believe to be an "ass fetus" in Russian and then killed me.

in Russian they say 285 million people in the world

If you do not know Russian, why should I know your language?

Because English is 'the' language of today. Japanese kids who want to learn business don't go run off to learn Russian, they run off to learn English.

Koya wrote:+1 for copy/paste... they could just ask somebody in skype to translate them text...

PS I think we all should stop this language war... We have people who speak english, and people who don't... So lets accept this fact and don't be giving recomendations.

Not really good enough, need to just use screen shots, or hell if you're using skype just use screen share, it's pretty much the best possible tool for this situation.

oloth wrote:I urge you to learn Russian. just need to be more tolerant. Russian language is a common and inter-ethnic as well as English. Each person decides what language to teach and what to say / write. And if there are any misunderstandings between the players in the game, this is not terrible or anything, even if because of this someone killed =)

No thanks to learning Russian.
However, not knowing the other language isn't so terrible, if you're the kind of person who knows how to use tools to overcome the barrier, and not act like a troglodyte.

We really need a copy and paste function so we can go onto translators and find out what each other is saying. This possibly may have been avoided if we had been able to translate.

Please do enlighten us Sir Dat, I honestly gave up after trying it a dozen or so times on Pacho's ever so long ago.
