Klaue is funny and all, but he's too much of a loose cannon, as evidenced by what happened in Sodom at the start of this world. I like my village members predictable.

Temp solution I used to stop this type of vandalism from within which didn't leave scents because someone was part of the village was to put a claim over the idol with an alt character and allow only active and current trusted members access. This will leave scents for you to track and kill anyone not authorized in the village.

I also put a palisade around the idol as well but it requires a key to be used which is useless to anyone not a part of the village but is a pain to have to carry, not to mention the eyesore and room the pali takes up. Not to hard to replace the gate when locks need changing.

If I had set him up to do something, I would have at least been smart enough to get all that stuff transported out of Sodom, that would have been worse.
