I thought people who once knew me would be ok with their former law speaker picking up some pretty mundane stuff ( 4 copper bars q 30 , 5 q200 linen some mulberry leaves, and 8 plant fibres) i guessed id have more than a day before i was tracked *if i was going to be tracked. At least fight me when im online seeing as i had some of ye still kinned.
I also left a runestone saying im just exploring my old town and taking was is rightfully mine. Im sure the iron mine left there and the steel and the village idol ye took over helped ye make most of it so im very sorry indeed

Of course, there is some gray area to any crime. Did we simply owe you some debt? I certainly think we did, but not in the sense that you seem to believe. I might reiterate that you completely abandoned the town for something like 5 months, longer than I've even played, and we were surprised that you even came back at all. We didn't remake the idol because we villainous thugs or something. It was because the town no longer functioned and we needed to remake everything. It's telling to me that you don't even seem to be cognizant of why exactly we would be upset. It's more that you came from the depths of idle and decided what was owed on your own. It's similar with real laws. Imagine if I gave someone a nice property in real life and they built a house on it. I think it would be a little absurd to then say that I could take whatever I wanted inside their house
without asking simply because they owed me. As well, if you lend us some tools and
you don't ask for them back, that doesn't give you prerogative to then take whatever you want from my house. I can't speak for SarahJ's reasons, but for myself it was more about your rudeness.
If you really wanted that "day" you could have easily had it. Why stop there? Why not have even joined the village or at least have stuck around a bit for us to have a chat and catch up on that value you placed on being the former lawspeaker of our predecessor town. We didn't kick you out, after all we left your hearthfire in the town, you kicked yourself out. We could have even set you up for your journey if you hadn't just taken stuff and ditched on us. I mean, it's kind of ridiculous that you seem to even be claiming that you were just taking a few mundane things that were easily owed to you because you literally took the most valuable things that weren't nailed down or accessible to old village area (and frankly some of those things would only be mundane to a city like Sodom). Whether your intentions were justified or not you really set yourself up for looking as bad as possible considering you don't even know who the villagers are and what we might have or have not done. Amusingly, you decided to even trespass on all of your noob buddies claims too because when we got there the entire area was filled with your scents. From everything that was displayed to me it seems that your
real thoughts were that you simply didn't think we would come after you due more to ineptitude which was why your guard was down. I'm not sure if alerting you so you could run or hide behind a wall was really sensible here. Actually, I was expecting you to be online and behind a wall but your faith in our incompetence really made it easier for us. On similar note, we even started trade with the village you were at in part to help recoup their loss.
So, if you or (more likely) your buddies are still angry at us and want to kill us I suppose that's how these matters go; we won't take it personally. Unfortunately the only way to really punish people in the game is to kill them, and that always can start a feud. However, those friends will be doing it solely out of kinship with you, not because of any real justice.
