My experience with Russians is the same as Juhu's. We've got some locals we've traded with and who have helped us out with things. Most seems to be farmers / typical H&H players but like all groups, there are a few who want to cause trouble.

Though you do find a lot of Russian communities around now, where as once upon a time it was definitely more "English-centric".

He was really nice,but started a new place.I helped him build,i couldnt understand him much but in return he gave me some bronze plate.

I'll tell you a secret...

Russians are feared in H&H because they are strongly associated with bears.

In fact, ALL bears in this game are russians!
They just don't know english so they just attack without saying a word...

I'm a russian myself, and all members of my village are russians, and we are not agressive.
The other group of russian players we know are kind and nice people too.

There are many runestones written in russian most probably because some russian players are fond of exploring and they leave landmarks on runestones for easier navigation.
Some of my russian friends like to give names to rivers and lakes, where they travel, they write it on runestones and place them on a shore.

So basically the idea of russians in H&H being dangerous and scary is the same thing like "russian mafia" fairytale.
It's not about the nationality, it's about personal lifestyle and attitude.

we met some russians fishing me and my new freind i met
ealier when i saw the dead deer in fornt of a sleeping guy i automatilcy smirked thinking nowing exaclty what happened to the boats when they were gone they where on the other side on land nicely rowed luaghing when i saw it
i know they did it toke our parked boats we were useing to heal and gather leechs due to the boar infestion and sailed them across the river just something inside me told me that

we were fishing and then a girl on a boat said oh hi we greeted her she asked if we wanted a robe we said no thank you said w8 for transltor
while fishing one them with a basket quickly droped a basket and ran i looked inside it was hooks she said 80 ql hooks inside
it felt wrong takeing 80 ql hooks and leech bait so said no thank you need them more then i do they were like cicreing us
after awhile i went back to store some fish i went up to see my freind to see what he cuaght and they got off there boats and met with us she said OBEY OBEY OBEY OBEY before landing i tuaght this would be a good time to try to make peace (somehow i'm missing some logs) i asked if they needed food she said yes and asked if i collected perals they give us cool stuff and it was cool to collect it was my 4th or 3rd day so i didn't know how to i was still stuggleing with www's

while perpareing fish working as fast as i cloud with the new fish i cacth
she asked if we were genetelmen we said yes

i was going to get some containter for there food while she was saying slaves or something i'm amusseing they addcenlty shot at us after we said we were genetelmen when shot she said OH SHI- and don't kill there genetelemen
one then spoke in russian

while knocked out one went down one went in the house and someone broke the cupbroad
got knocked out again me and my freind
they then i think did some emotes i heard claping sounds and a tiny smile face i had to giggle
she came to me and said get up or i would get sick after laying on the ground for so long

there was then a crash i had to relog in

trying to figure out what was going on after asking them if they wanted the trees replanted them wanting us to join them they said they wouldn't kill us she said raise exploer and precpetion and collect pearls its cool
and said se ya with a boat in hand

then left and i said what about your food and she said thanks we eat
they didn't even take the food i was going to give them i was sad
this all happened firday i cant seem to get over it i'm happy we lived but still a tad lost

if the 80ql hooks and some of the leechs was a peace offering and i misunderstood i'm sorry i think we were the ones that should been doing the peace offering being so close

Hey, what are you angry about? They just tried to enslave you, its just like praising someone. You see, you have to replace slaves if they died or ran away, so, well... as long as some of the russians are so fond of slavery and do not understand why every1 else is not...

Anyway, why did you object? We provide shelter and food for our slaves. We make them work hard, so they will grow up strong. They even do not have to do all the hard labor alone, what you will definately have to do if you live free. They offrerd you to become their pearl-searching slave. Do you see how good is that?! A jeweler helper! We will even give our slaves tools and metal outfits one day! We can even harass our slaves if they feel like so, or dress them too look like catgirl maids (they pay for outfit themselves, surely)! We also never hurt our slaves much, take away goods we gave them for long or kill them. Just think about it!

Even The Bible does not expressly forbid slavery. In the New Testament, Jesus heals a slave and commends his owner for his faith. He does not take the time to condemn the slave owner for having a slave, nor at any point does he try to suggest that slavery is wrong. In Africa slavery was a mark of honor!

The thing that makes it stand out from European style slavery was the fact that it was a sign of good reputation and honor if a slave owner treated his slaves with respect and kindness. The better treated your slaves, the more honorable and highly regarded you were. Manhandling a slave (as the Europeans were wont to do) was considered unethical and you risked your reputation if you did not feed, clothe, and provide quality surroundings for your slaves.

Slavery is also an ancient practice; it is referred to in man’s earliest records such as the Code of Hammurabi (1760 BC, pictured above), the earliest known law code – from Babylon.

Absolutely perfect, isn't it? Slavery has been a part of human society since its beginning, so there is nothing to be ashamed of in becomeing a slave. So, why are you still free, hungry, sick, nacked, having to face those scary forests and DEADLY lakes and rivers?
