Problem with the part on no one taking revenge is this..There is no scents now to be gotten and as far myself..I have been in that area on both my main and my alt..I have left trespass scents on my alt and no one has come looking..So I am inclined to believe if they came after you one of two things happened..
1. you did way more then trespass..
2.they was not really from the outpost.

The outpost was formally owned by a Russian guy..Have been told it has some kinda link to AD..Not sure on that part.Ok been playing since July..Lived right next door for a long time and no one ever was there..I know of two people who have stole from the place..1 lived the other did not..

Best bet would be to stay away from the place..Oh and also there is so many random hf's in that area that it is hard to believe that they went after you just because you random spawned near it..

I never claimed 8 Dwarves killed her (I dont think I did at least, too lazy to reread my posts) I just said she got killed in that area ;o

I would be willing to help you but it appears you have done nothing so far yourself. Perhaps when you show some initiative other will help you out?

You have not collected the scents (which even a noob should be able to do)... you have not even tracked it... its one thing for someone to help you get revenge .. its another to ask a high level player to waste up to 5 hours tracking for zero payoff.

I spent an entire day tracking vandals for someone once.. it lead to a hearthvault... this person never even thanked me... they just got mad that i wasn't able to do anything about it.

Your sister lost nothing really... you are not doing any of the work yourself at all... why should anyone help you?


When me and my brother got stolen from at the begining of the map I spent all day pinning animals with signs and letting him kill them... 100k later we got murder and killed the guy...

Murder scents last a week... you had a week to get the skills to track this yourself but you have done nothing.

Erm, as far as I am aware this is not the thread for DIY; otherwise all threads would consist of 1 post, where the crime and punishment would be described in the very first post, with xweetok and seren elder later flooding senseless stuff just for the troll-post-count;

I assume that is the thing someone does - he or she posts the topic when they require help, when the offender is beyond the reach; Assume the guy was swimming, requires 100 constitution or so? so, possibly it is not a newb, right? So, killing is already a challenge; collecting scents, well - not all people invest LP into ranger stuff or raise perception and exploration to notice the scents; just because not all of them expect to start or continue their game with confrontations in mind!

And you are wrong about the fact the person has not showed initiative, he has made the topic, marked map and location, gave some possible clues about the murderer.. And THAT is already sufficient for those people, who raise their LP by killing people, to come forward and avenge the person (though vengeance not being the aim of it of course, but the LP from slaying another person, or using the murder scent to summon and loot the guy, whatever)

And in your case, maybe you were just lucky your offender was someone you could kill off easilly after getting murder skill; I would not like to see you in the situation when the enemy is wearing dragon helm or a beard .. or can punch a hole in the palisade with his fist..

Cruel example, if your relative gets cancer, you do not enroll into medical college to become chemiotherapist; you pray to god, you search for the best doctors, you go to priests, shamans, you search for help of the specialist!

lol...ok if you will read back it does appear that the people of dwarven was being accused but ok so it could have been anyone...I agree fully with the why did you not collect the scents??

Another thing the crime scene happens to be smack dab in the middle of the world..Kinda hard for most to take off on the journey to go see if they can find scents that may or may not be there..Also the area has a reputation for bad things happening.. My suggestion would be to your sister..Make a new character..get far away from anyone else on the map..

If you are still wanting revenge well you might go about asking in a different way..or offering something for it..

Thanks for the warning of this weird crazy boat chasing guy out swimming into boats and killing newbies..sounds kinda crazy doesn't it..
