im going to say that- yes Cake_Tan is behind the random killings of nubs in HIS general vicinity. He almost killed me, but 'pics or it didnt happen' i guess.
if anything i kinda like seeing Cake_Tan char around, not to condone the nub killings as justifiable but it does add a factor of gameplay that make the game a bit more REAL? it adds to a pretty much non-existent storyline that we are all apart of. Every story gotta have a antagonist right?

The messed up part about it all is not that he killed newbies, but that he killed the newbies that he helped bring into the game.

Totally agree, however you'd need to make a poster of some sort that can be made at the cost of a scent and can give you a memorization of their character, if the bad guy's around he could tear down the posters easily off of say a tree, mask hides their name and so, KO someone with a mask and rip it off. Runestones with names wouldn't do much, considering we have no way of knowing who's who...

I shall now recite a morbid tale to shed light upon the character of this Caketan knave: One day as I toiled to create a village claim to remove a claim on a abandoned mine I heard voices, following them to the source I found three men conversing. Among them was a man named Caketan, luring them with promises of metal and glory I invited them to join my village and they agreed. The next day I returned and discovered that Caketan had started a new village not twenty feet from mine and was training noobs in it. Speaking to him I offered to take over the duty of Lawspeaking for him as I was more experienced, and he accepted. Pleased with the reuniting of our villages I went to inspect my new peons and was horrified; they set upon every tree in sight, felling them to build houses not three tiles apart from each other, they had no crops and no hunter to bring food. Sighing I assisted them as best I could then went to sleep. Two days later I awoke and found the village deserted, by conversing with Caketan I discovered that they had left to build a new village as they had ruined the island. Determined to see how they were doing I set off to see them, along the way I asked a simple question and was met with a insulting and downright unpleasant answer from one of Caketan's cronies, for the next half hour him and Caketan tried to piss me off and succeeded greatly. When I finally reached the village I was stopped by a river I could not cross without a boat, the same goon who had heckled me came with a boat, staying just out of reach and darting away when I got near. Eventually he ferried me over, then stopped midway and told me he would kill me if I stole anything or if he just decided didn't like me, I was unimpressed as he had neither weapon or armor. A brief look over the village told me it was more hovel than town and I left, my curiosity satisfied.

So, after these ordeals at the hands of the idiotic Caketan and his followers I can confidently say: VERILY, YEA SUCK AT PHOTOSHOP DUMBASS!
