Honest answer, please, what would you do if you were in our position?

well i certainly don't expect you to trade us gold now! that's not the point though. the people that were negotiating the deal were retards and were never going to get anywhere, which is why i stepped in and contacted you. if you recall, that initial conversation was when i found out about the first raid (or rather, of it's connection to you, i knew of the event already).

and i was just about to pay you back for that raid when they raided you again. obviously i consider you paid in full now.

Well it's clear you have some internal issues...

Yeah, you obviously don't owe us anything now. And yeah, I agree that lack of discipline is the main problem here. If your people only listened to you, no blood would've been spilt. Can't really do diplomacy with an anarchist group.

Of course you could have just tracked down the raiders instead of taking revenge on the many for the actions of the few.

This.
And if it means anything, I still trust Sab personally, although I would hope he maintains tighter control over his faction before he announces himself as the leader thereof, next time. Not to offend, but looking at it from our point of view, it was pretty confusing.

Those many were hiding those few behind their walls. If they had destroyed their hearths like we asked to, so we can summon them behind our own walls, they wouldn't have been harmed.

Or you could have tried diplomacy with Sab, they give you access to the raiders, you only take revenge on said raiders.

When the many harbor the few, they share in the stain. They were given the option to reject the few, and declined. hence, revenge was not on the few that sinned, but on the many and the few who amalgamated the greater stain.

rejoice, you are now pure.

Actually it sounded like they were int he middle of talking when the raiders did it again, thus prompting immediate revenge instad of the bottleneck people trying further diplomacy before taking such extreme actions.

No, we weren't even asking for heads for the first raid, we just wanted material compensation. We asked for the heads of the two perps of the second raid, and we didn't get them, so we invaded. We couldn't have let negotiation go for long time, cause the scents would've expired.
