So I disrespect people who say they will wait till vipe, because even after that, they couldn't do anything. They will have no team, they will have no experience, no contacts with other factions who will be growing faster.
There is no better world, you make it more exciting by yourself.

This is narrowminded, not everyone is waiting for world four because they got the short end of the stick. Some simply grew tired of the current mechanics, and you can't really fault them for not liking a game.

Those people are waiting for new mechanics not a wipe. You're just trying to start shit.

A wipe only comes with new mechanics. They are one and the same. So no, I am not. Image

A wipe may come with new mechanics but that doesn't necessarily mean those are the mechanics that such people are waiting for. :ugeek:

well now that doesnt really matter, wipe mechanics should be significant enough that they'll still give it a try

I only began a few months ago, so I can't say. But for new players like me, I think the circumstances in this world are quite enjoyable since they give enough space and security for someone who doesn't know how to pick a branch to learn things and get hold of the game.

Also, I thought the circumstances were decided mobocratically?

It can be great to know how mechanics will be, but I don't... So I correct movement way according to situation, but not slowing down.

Like I said, it no matter how world and mechanics will change, you will have people around to start. And you need to earn their trust in you.
I prefer to start with 0 with few players who around me, instead starting with 10kk lp, gold and iron mines and alone.

Then the raid of xanadu was very crazy with that melee fight, i didn't know if we were winning or losing, my mind was racing during it and for hours after. Never really felt like that in a game before, which i guess is because of the perma death and knowing that if me or my brother died it would have been devistating.

but for the last couple of months there has been nothing happening. also the fact that there were 0 updates for 2 months while they were doing their skill thingy only to scrap it makes this map pretty boring right now.

i started world 2 late, but in that world, i had an enemy to kill who was stronger than me and was in a evil village. so i always had a goal to get stronger and get revenge. there were more raids in that world and thus more entertaining.

Hm, I thought you were playing before me since you had a p claim covering most of the main part of original Xanadu.

no but you are the person who i wanted to kill in that post. you knocked me out as a noobie, and then threatened to kill me when i refused to stand up. then at the end of the map you raided crimson island and we managed to kill you.

I'm finding world 3 incredibly boring. I got to the point where I quit playing for the last two months because there was absolutely nothing happening. Coming back, I still don't see anything. Now this lack of anything interesting might not be so bad if the combat system was a little more approachable. Turning up grapes is only fun for so long, but when you can barely figure out how to punch a fox to death you've got a problem. I don't see bear meat on the menu any time soon with this system.

I think this may be largely due to the scatter system. Yes, the Ring caused a real mess with new players unable to navigate their ways out of the dump that was Brodgar. But the common starting point also gave the players a whole different perspective on the world. They were in the same world as a lot of other people, rather than scattered around out in the middle of nowhere. Add to this the easily approachable combat system and you have yourself a potentially dangerous world. Sprinkle in a little resentment, some annoyances, and maybe a group of people who want nothing more than to piss everyone off and things really start to get interesting.

But no, we're turning up grapes and stealing each others weed and shovels.
