You should find some common ground. Bring one or two of the leaders from both together away from the game with a good interpreter or two to act as liaisons. It might work, it might not, but at that point you've made the bid that peace is wanted from both sides. Maybe someone should put forth the idea of a parley skill and a white flag item.

It depends upon the Russian player group you are dealing with. There is a MMO mod for Fallout 2 in which Russian players will kill you for not speaking Russian. There has recently been a spike in ultra nationalist Russian Gamers. It happens there are radical American gamers as well...

This is only making the problem worse.

Yes, this is an insult. Most likely it is also straight from someone who came from the russian equivalent of 4chan. You wouldn't expect a /b/tard to be anymore diplomatic would you?

For the record, хуи, and several other russian words, have got a lot of meanings.

This is probably the most sensible thing said for several posts.

No, but people can solve this problem by Jihading all russians everywhere so that they aren't an issue. We've done it before. Doesn't seem to be an issue. And no I'm not advocating a Jihad.

That was a small group of characters who had been grinding since world 1 who massacred a bunch of fresh faced Russian noobs. In world 3 the Russians have been playing for as long as anyone else, it's hard to predict who would come out on top if there's an all-out war.

This... actually brings up an interesting, purely hypothetical scenario: the idea of settling this whole issue with a gentlemanly duel between nations, complete with terms and rules of war agreed upon by the leadership of both sides beforehand? It would be interesting to see how large-scale warfare would play out in-game.

I'm not in any way condoning the killing of Russian or other foreign players, nor do I really think this could ever actually be possible, but still...

That's highly unlikely, the fact that people speak the same language doesn't mean they'll act as a whole. Also, while english-speaking players congregate mostly in this forum, russians are scattered on a number of imageboards and forums.

I played FOnline for a while and had many a run-in with Russians. Some ended peacefully - most ended in bloodshed. They are part of the reason I don't trust Russians in this game. -.-'
