Likewise, I don't think that shooting through a wall with deadly accuracy is entirely accurate of real life as well. :|

but if we're going for realism here

we're not

The killer has been found. Not saying who because it was basically an accident (rather poor judgement on their part in my opinion :P) and we are discussing getting my stuff returned.

Thanks to those of you who helped track or who wanted to help. And thanks for the support during these events.

Sorry for the double post,

Anyone who I was previously on their kinslist, PM me with your hearthsecret, or if you never give yours out, ask for mine.

This is going to be a hassle...

seeing threads about people getting sniped by rangers bows makes me realize how close H&H is to being Dwarf Fortress...

i wonder. how come, as soon as you press any mele attack move or unarmed and click a target the attack bar will come up instantly before you even reached your target even if you where standing like a ninja behind a tree to ambush, but when you start to aim with a ranged weapond on a target the attack bar will not come up until the arrow is allready halfway thru your brain.

and as if you would be standing talking with someone right infront of him without noticing he was aiming hes bow right at you wich is fully possible in this game. there is no way to tell, all you can see is he has a bow/sling in hes hand wich could be fully natural people go out hunting carrying such items, you would have no clue hes been aiming at you this hole conversation.

If he faces towards you, move to the side and see if he does still. If he is, he's aiming for you. Still the fact that aiming does not aggro makes it that you don't know you are about to get shot until the arrow fires.

Yes very annoying to tell unless you move constantly, but then again I always move when anyone with an RB is nearby, they are dangerous and should not be used for walking around 'among friends'.

yes that is what is so annoying about it, you need to move constantly as soon as you see someone with a ranged weapond in hes hand even if hes a friend or a foo, i just dont like the unfairness in this mechanic especially since it is fully possible to oneshot with an RB now, just as you can with a mele or UA, its just that the mele or UA dont get any warning but the MM does. besides it often takes several moves to get init and what not from mele wich gives the archer several seconds to run or aim at you. I think they should make the aiming part an agressive move, so that you have atleast a few seconds to react.

Im not sure how the assault scents works, is it not so that mele or UA guy that aggro will leave a scent , even if they aborted the action and didnt even miss nor damage the opponent, the archer on the other hand can aim ready to make that oneshot kill without leaving any assault scent at all, so if he aborts, decide to not fire the arrow he goes free.
