Randomly murdered or what?

So I was busily building a base in a relatively remote area, minding my own business when some completely armored, sword wielding dude comes by and kills me in two blows. Not that it was hard, considering I had no armor and only the starting weapons. Just wondering if I somehow pissed someone off or if a knight was just randomly passing through and figured my head would make a nice trophy?

I guess if you really pissed someone off then the person would at least have told you what you did wrong before killing you. But random killing out of the blue? Probably some bored high-level griefer.

That is highly philosophical, lol. And if I were someone who had been killed and knew why, I wouldn't spend time asking why. Btw, if anyone knows how to raid villages with no thieving skills and using a stone axe and nettle shirt, let me know and I might try the dark side for awhile, lol.

No, don't know where I am/was. I saw some posts about grids but I haven't seen anything like that. Maybe you need cartography to see grids? I've only been playing for a few days.

Unfortunately it's not that easy. Only real way to work it out is by word of mouth and knowing what well known villages are nearby.

Sorry it worked out abit shit for you, I guess that's why we're all so insular in game.
