For all the fish I ate before, and farewell to Tiji

Postby barra » Thu Nov 04, 2010 4:22 pm

So long guys.

To Droppy:
Thanks for being our first real contact, back when we were brand new starting out when thought our most valuable possession was the skin of the first bear we ever hunted. Thank you for your tin mine. Tiji wouldn’t have been founded without your help.

To Sabi, Gato and the rest of the goons:
Thank you for being awesome tradebros. We wouldn’t have been able to catch up as far as we did without your help. Sorry that we were never able to trade the 15 steel we made for Gato, but it won’t happen now.
PS: thank you for the xanadu mine. ;)

To DoG and the sodomites:
Thank you for being tradebros, and for teaching me that if you play hard enough you will be successful even when the challenge seems insurmountable.

To L0ck:
Thank you for showing us that not all Russians are raiders, and inviting us to the Chateau market. Sorry we never had a chance to follow up on it.

To darki:
Thank you for helping us range after the thief.

To everyone who was a member of Tiji, past and present:
You guys made Fort Tiji the awesome village that it was. From panic in the early days of the camp with “oh god there’s a bear OH CRAP IT BROKE THROUGH THE FENCE” to the founding of Tiji, to our ranging trips and mine schemes and all the mistakes and successes we had learning this game. Thank you.

To all the hermits, farmers and lone woodsmen living in our area:
Thank you for being friendly and thank you for any trades and offers you made. Our wall might have been intimidating, but we were never hostile to anyone who showed peaceful intentions. If you’re reading this, Fort Tiji’s gates are OPEN and anything we have is yours. Tiji belongs to the wild hearthlands now.

tl;dr:
Fort Tiji was raided last night. Someone used a wall-jump exploit (not the idol and crossroads, another one) to hop our brick wall. They killed my chieftain, smashed every crossroad we had and stole cupboards worth of steel and iron and a lot of our valuables. One of my villagers tracked the scents to Soviet Russia. We can’t pick a fight with AD and even thought we thought the fort was secured against wall jumping, it turns out it isn’t and the damage is done.

Take care, enjoy the rest of your time in this game. We’re out. :)

Well, it was stupid enough to dig clay in one of main spots under claim, and then say go to hell person who came to solve it diplomatically...
Don't say it was you, but AD don't go enywhere without reason, we have too much stuff to do.

Wow, killing a whole town over a couple of pieces of clay sounds a bit harsh to me.

Well, I am glad I can announce Sodom has already taken in the first refugee from Tji. If anyone else from your lovely town wants to seek shelter with us you are more than welcome.

Well... spot will be full again in a week maybe, so its not a pieces, its some vandalism how it is.
Also if somebody try to speak and solve misunderstandings, it wrong to talk rude. I always very kind and polite, but if people don't want to talk with me... well I have people in AD who speaks on their language, but better. I also did that topic about city contacts to find way for faster comunication, don't want this things happen.

P.S. I'm not gonna comment how much villages fallen after Sodom was there with justice :) This game is like that... You go to person who did something bad to you, you try to talk, he didn't want to talk and understand its wrong, you don't want to happen it again, so you kill him.

Well, we usually only kill the person who left a scent if he can't be reasoned with, not demolish his whole city.
I see your point of course that some action had to be taken. The people in Tiji are all nice guys though, so I hope it is no problem for you that we offer them to stay with us.

So which one of them was the rude one? And did you get a reason for why the chose to vandalize that spot? Because if it was malice and stupidity all in one I'd rather not have him.

Of course its not a problem, because we always can solve it out if something like this happen.
Well after a lot of problems with polish people we don't belive something will change. We also kill one or leave alive criminal, if there some talk can be done, but if you come to discuss a problem with somebody and get insulted... well... this their choice. We had such accidents between our citys also, but still we didn't have war, have good relations, help each other when needed because we solved out problem and do best not let it happen again.

Sorry couldn't memorize, too far was distance.
Have no idea why they get to that spot... it was used in our allied citys for everybody use, becasue q90 is just a few pieces a day.
