Wall-Jump Raider - Death Will Come!

Postby TreeHugger » Fri Nov 05, 2010 1:42 pm

Can anyone shed some light on a subject please?

I have a village, protected by a pallisade, no gaps or decaying. I signed in to find that there was a few scents scattered around my village, after another search of my perimetre i notice no gaps again.

First question - How? the hell did they get in?

Second Question - They took the gate keys, but not everything now i could go track person down and kill them, but they could have more players then my village and i might not be able to get to their Hearth or anything else, so what can i do?

I read somewhere else that there is a wall jump exploit, im confused whats the point of me building a wall if people can jump it?

Is the entire wall claimed? The raider could have broken through the palisade, then rebuilt it afterwards just to confuse you.

Yeah tht was my first check, the thing is we have a double layer, and while all the double layer is not claimed the inner layer is.

Its all very confusing, im trying to get hold of some of my other villagers to see if they have been murdered with a key on them

They could have:

#1 Wall jumping.
Tell-tale signs :
A Village Claim near your Village and alot of signs/items on the floor (They may have removed the Idol and stuff, but Vandelisium scents all over the wall section where they jumped in would point to that.

#2 They had someone who could break a Paliside by hand.
Tell-tale signs :
A very strong vandelisium at the section of the wall they broke in from. (They may have repairs the broken walls to hide it)

#3 They killed someone with the key to your main gate.

Only few I can think of at the moment.

@ Windforce - Thanks for the suggestions i will have another look around my wall for any signs of foul play.

On another note, i followed scents to what i thought was their Hearth Fire, i destroyed it, but i cant summon the person, does anyopne know how i can do this?

Also when i was near the Hearth the scents stopped pointing, they just had a big red circle, That means i'm close, right? However after warping back to my village the scents still said there was a hearth and pointed to it again, but im sure there was no more in the area i followed them to.

Which scent did you use.

If you have destroyed the person's HF, left click Scent, right click on the ground to summon him. He has to be offline though.

All the scents i have are for theft, i tried tht its all very weird and new to me. Im going back to where the scents pointed me to search the area again, maybe its behind a rock or something,

Which grid do you live in?

Anyway, Windforce pretty much said what I was going to say. I personally think it's more likely you're the victim of a palibasher since they're pretty common these days. Palisades are about as much security as roundpole fences, only a little bit stronger.

EDIT: If the scents are only theft (which is odd because there will usually be vandalism and trespass as well), are you sure that a key didn't get picked up by the thief?

Trasspass wears off in 8hrs so not having trasspass isnt uncommon. But there will be Vandelisium if any force entry was used (Wall jump or Pali bashing) since you said your inner wall was under claim.

As what sachi mentioned, if only thief scents were found only means they managed to get the key and walked in your front gate.

Lol, oh dear

It would appear that the scents seem to come to an end, within the walls of Soviet Russia

and as i am unable to break brickwalls, yet again another crime will go unpunished, damn this game and it's biasis towards those fortutate enough to be way stronger then the average player

What to do, what to do?

Maybe suicide is a good way out
