O dead, Just got one of my characters killed.
Not sure why. not sure how. Ranger bow probably.

Well, if you had decent armor, then you certainly were not killed by any ranged weapon other than a ranger's bow.

Checking things out with alternative character ...

Can't see the murder scents of the act. So nothing I can do with it other than talking about it.
Seems only thing missing are two Traveller's Sack's. As I can't find them. There also not on the character itself. (were they should have been.)
Not that there was much to take of any value. As this was a low-q farm (LP farm if you will. :) )
O yea, perp also did demolished the crossroad that was hidden behind a Timber_House.
And as this character was low skill ... I was shot more than ones. Killing shot done while being out cold. (bummer)

Only thing other thing that happened was the passing of a traveler shortly before, In pajama with Pumpkin head (Russian it seems), But after a short talk he moved along.
I'm not sure if he was the perp, as I think he is the one that left a trespasser scent at my neighbor house. (as he came walking from that area when we met.

I did not border with a palisade. But if you can't farm in peace as hermit ... :D

(just in case ... some theft scents are from my other character. Don't like to lose that one on account of this murder. :) )

Not sure if additional armor would have made a difference. It could have. (might have seen more that way, As now I was forced to log-off by the character demise.

One more thing that made me wonder was that I only got two trespassing mails about this event. After the first one I looked around but did not see anything.
But because the character has no ranging skill I just when on by tasks. the second mail came after I was already killed.
Getting the feeling that the perp might have jump in at the crossroad, Perfect location watching ... and for shooting me where I was shot. But the only one that I ever gave a link to this crossroad it is someone from Orlain for trading stuff. (just entertaining a possible positivity even if it makes not that much sense.)

Got a PM from the killer/ranger. (Acting on my previous "theft scent" message.)
Seems I got killed for not paying attention to the local "area chat". (... I never notice that thing turning light blue until I see someone waving at me.)
Because of that I was taken to be a potential (none speaking (English).) trespasser ...

O dear o dear.
HnH is a dangerous game.

(lucky for me this was a resent newly created character ... )

Jorb/Loftar: Can we have a more clear way of being notified of some chatting activity. ... hehe. I just lost a character because of it. Dont know of any beter reason than that. :P

Funny side effect. After having a other ranger, that was in the area, paying me a visit. Is finding two holes in my area fence. Hehe.

If you mean "the chat notification when the menu bar is down is pretty clear". Its obviously not as clear to me as it is to you. Especially not if your not thinking that there might be someone trying to talk to you. (potential side effect of genetics combined with aging.)

Although that can be disputed based on the actual words that where used.

You might have missed the part where I sad something about not being able to see the murder scents.
On top of that I don't really think I would make any change in doing anything other than just tinkling his character.
But ... your still young and eager. So If you think you got what it takes ... your free to give it a shot.
