I'm not sure if this was resolved, but we tracked scents from Constantinople that led to York.

I did the same thing, on the way from AD down (used AD as a point of reference to triangulate the position) I also found scents at a small personal claim with scents pointing to another different member of York.

Members of York live around A.D., i think that you found scents at claim belonging to members (used when the owner is offline, and no one has theft on claim). We never robbing actives players, just sometimes when plot is abandoned.
And last time i killed 2 thieves from Silent Hill, mb you saw this scents.
