New Brodgar Elections

Postby Yolan » Sat Mar 27, 2010 12:16 pm

Well, I don't think anybody else is going to call it, so I am announcing the elections for New Brodgar's Chieftan and Lawspeaker positions.

These positions are currently held by Cookie and John McClain, who were assigned them early on without a vote because they were happy to have them. Both individuals are able to put themselves forward for re-election if they wish.

To all residents of New Brodgar. If you are around a lot, and think you would like to help the town move forward, be it by helping new people settle in, or organising city policy, layout, etc. please put yourself forward for election.

Just reply to this thread within the next few days that you are putting yourself in for the running. Specify which of the two jobs you are interested in.

Law Speaker: More of a organiser, law maker, judge.

Chieftain: Head of whatever armed force we might organise, helps out the new folks too.
I believe the role of Chieftain needs a minimum of 20, or 25? charisma.

After we have a few contenders, we can open up to votes for a few days (also in this thread).

I would like to run for chieftain, I quite like the idea of giving grievers a taste of their own medicine.

Also I vote for UnrealJake, even though I dont live in NB. His posts seem to make more sense than the average ones here.

Haven't you guys heard of private forums?

Thanks for your valuable contribution to this thread.

What on earth is the point of the 'In Congress Assembled' board if not for something like this?

A private forum would be just one more page I need to bookmark, log in and out of, organise for people to know about, etc. I'd rather eat glass quite frankly.

It gets annoying hearing people say that over and over again when we are using the village politics thread for... village politics!

Vote me for chieftain and I will get red of people like him ;)

Only fools discuss their internal politics in the external political arena. But I guess we wouldn't want anyone to take brodgar serious now do we.

Right. Holding an election is 'discussing internal politics'.

Well darn. I'd hate for people to think we weren't playing an online game seriously enough!
