Fascists killed innocent girl.

Hi! My name is Alex and i'm from Russia. It was yesterday, when my friend couldn't enter the game and suggested that there were technical problems as she coldn't even imagine that she was killed. What for? She was very peaceful creature. I logged in and found her bones near her fire. It was outside the walls, because she was helping to build a village her polish friends and wanted not to do a long trip to them everyday and build her fire near their walls on their claim. Guys from Poland, her friends, carried her body to them and buried her with honor.


Near her grave I found a lot of scents, took them and started trailing them.


And I found them. It's not very big village with good farming zone and some cows and sheep. Neither I nor my friend did not know these people, but on the way to them i saw place where she used to harvest wheat and carrots - it's abondoned village with fully broken walls and apparently they used scents from there to track and kill her. But then I found this one sign near southern wall.


I suppose you know what this means. And village is named Rommel's Manor and Wolfsschanze in German. And who is Rommel you also should know.

I sent these images to my friend and it scared her, cause it's not just griefing, it's continuation of the War that ended 60 years ago! At least we thought so.

And now we just don't know what to think about that. If german fascists kill innocent russian girls in games, then how far we are from such situations in real life? We thought fascism was defeated by people from all the world a long time ago, but it turned up that it is here, near us. We just a little bit messed up.

thats because i am able to create that thing and some more references to nazis, so is the guy next to me and next to him, and everyone else viewing this, as much as it sucks that some decides to take that "able to" and actually do it, there is nothing illigal in theyr action inside a game.

though to be honest i think jorb should ban people like this from his game whenever found, if nothing else then out of decency.

If you're going to leave scents make sure your HF is behind at least a palisade. Abandoned claim or not do not assume you are safe. You're never safe in HH. Girl or boy grandma or furry fag all are equal and so are the ones that did the killing be they nazy wannabees or red cross missionaries.

Ban is not permitted in HH because they give only a sense of realism.

First of all, we're not fascists. Since the game is based on Slavic myths, Swastika is an ancient Slavic symbol, you might wanna read about it here. You might also read about German Field Marshall Erwin Rommel here. From the most information found in the Internet, Rommel wasn't noticed in any nazi or against humanity crimes.

Now let me tell you how all the story (being a gather of a bunch of unlucky coincidences) happened. Few days ago I asked my cousin to burn some bricks using my char since I was going to trade'em for metal. He said he got bored and started to explore the map. That's when he found an abandoned place with a bunch of crime scents (theft and vandalism). He gathered them, tracked thief/vandal down and killed her. It wasn't said anywhere that she was a nice and peaceful girl, but the scents said she's a thief and a vandal. After he killed her, he took most of her things (including the keyring) and ported back home. He didn't tell me a thing about what happened. Today when I logged in I found some theft scents inside of my friend's claim, so I tracked the theif. I wasn't going to kill him since I only wanted to warn him not to steal from my friend. Since he wasn't logged in, I decided to explore the area and found murder scents... just to know they were mine! That really surpised me alot, I thought my char was hacked and decided to write about it on the forums... that's when I found this thread. I called my cousin and asked him WTF and then he explained what he did.

I really sorry for what happened, and I already gave back the stuff my cousin took. Once again, nobody said it was a nice girl or so, it only said she was a vandal and a thief, so I don't blame my cousin much. Just don't leave the scents behind, like smart people told you. I never do 'cause I never steal or vandal or murder. You're never safe if you do bad things, the payback might come when you least expecting it. The only thing that he did bad is that he used my char instead of his to do this. But I bring my sincere apologies anyway, because I never meant to murder anyone. I'm a peaceful char, I don't even have weapons. I wanted to trade bricks for metal to make a meat grinder and a pickaxe. Jorb or Loftar can check that this was done in the morning, while I'm never playing in the morning, I only play during evening and night time (GMT), when the server isn't that loaded much. I asked my cousin to help me with my char few times, that's were the only few times my char was playing in the morning time.

I offered to do something in order to pay for my fault, but the girl said "go away", mostly because of the "nazi" and "faschism" stuff which wasn't even close to it. I can kinda imagine she's upset at the moment, so my offer still stands. If there is anything I can do to pay for my fault - just let me know.

It wasn't used in that context here. The swastika is a symbol that honors the dead. Specifically fallen comrad warriors.

People really shouldn't track random theft sand vandalism scents. There isn't enough evidence there to suggest what happened. Murder scents should always be tracked. But then again somone could come along and level your whole village just because of one murder. Thats why it's unsafe to jump to any conclusions.

I find the fact that swastikas are banned IRL rather funny, even if it's kinda necessary. It is characteristic of current civilization's luxuries like ...laws in general... that prevent us from killing eachother. Well, it is a PITA sometimes, but if it weren't for these laws we would all be killing eachother the same way we do in Haven.

In-game though I'm against banning, punishing or mod/dev-side intervention in such a case. Why? There are NO LAWS here, except the law of the stronger. If anti-nazi people are mightier than the fascists (or simply trolls, as in this case), they'll deal with this problem in a way we can only dream of IRL (I mean, when was the last nazi mass execution? 50s? 60s?). Just go to Rommel's Manor and Wolfsschanze, bust the walls, kill all residents and destroy everything of value. Paint over the swastikas. There you go, nazi problem solved.

On the other hand, if nazis would really take over this game (unlikely?), politically opposing parties could at any time wipe them out, or frustrate them into leaving. Loot, kill, vandalize, hearth spam them, grief their symbols! There's something everyone, no matter how noobish, can contribute to such a large-scale "war". It's just that nobody cares. An ingame swastika is not a symbol of racism, but one of trolling. No political message. Troll got his attention, troll is happy.

To the Russian and Polish ppl: the war ended 60 years ago, fact. "Your" troops did just as much damage as German ones, fact. Your great-grandfathers raped, pillaged and looted German-allied lands, fact. Stalin's "communist" government made millions of his own people vanish into thin air, fact. Still, it's the swastika that's banned, hammer and sickle are not. Why? Because you won? This is hypocrisy, don't you think?

People = shit, that counts for everyone holding a (metaphorical, verbal or even real) weapon, no matter what nation or political alignment.
