Central Supergrid

Postby juhubert » Sun Jun 20, 2010 10:18 pm

As some people may know, the city of Sodom is located in the main supergrid. Since there had been some incidents and also abuse of the name of our city, we the members of Sodom hereby declare, that we claim the central supergrid as our area. This doesn´t mean, that the villages in this area have to pay tribute, but they are under our protection. so, if any village or member of our supergrid is attacked or killed, you better bring good evidences to justify your actions or you will be prosecuted by the long arm of our dragon forces.

This is Sodom speaking: You have been informed.

As the leader of two villages in the sg I applaud this action. Should we make this a bit more formal? Some organization of city states of some sort?

How do you act in case of inhabitants on the edge of your supergrid, or worse, just outside?

Not asking because I am going to raid anything, just out of curiosity.
Before you take insult to this post, keep in mind that I am simply a warrior of truth.

the borders of the supergrid are wel defined. so inside is inside, outside is outside. and if the inhabitants of our sg decide to go on a griefing or raiding tour, it is their own decision. so, if you get scents, feel free to punish them. but make sure to have evidences of your revenge or punishment being rightfull, because otherwise this will be looked at criminal act from our point of view. same thing is the raid or griefing on people or settlements in our sg. and you can be sure, punishment will be severe.

well, as long as there is no option implemented, to have village unions or some sort of empire, we don´t plan to get new allies or minion villages. we do want good relationships with the villages in our grid as well as fpr both sides profitable trading connections.

That's usually not relevant in these sort of declarations. If the act involves a resident of the supergrid, either as the criminal or as the victim, they will get involved. If you're from somewhere else, acting on someone else, then it's not their concern.

Juhubert is a mature, intelligent and reasonable individual. I personally have the utmost respect for him as a person, a player and a leader. I've been playing with him since the beginning of the second world.

You can be sure that if you have been victimized somehow by the constituents of the central supergrid and you collect evidence of such and immediately contact juhu, birger or any of the other political members of Sodom that your case will be fully investigated and a fair and reasonable decision will be achieved based on evidence presented.

This whole thing is why I left the more populated grids.

I think it adds some entertainment and flair to the game. What fun is it to play Sim village without a little drama to spice things up every now and then. It's really like the middle ages. Village life is so dull that all the peasents come to IRC and the forums anytime someone gets executed or there is a brawl between villages. He'll I imagine it's even exciting when someone steals a cow or a goat.
