Villages forming

So, how does that work? A conglomerate of people just meet at a designated place and builg a bunch of houses together? Or is it more like, houses become closer together with increases of land ownership and they end up being "Oh hey let's make a town".

Or am I completely off base here?

It happens in all sorts of ways.

In your case, it seems like just finding people living near you who are nice and forming a village in order to protect each other and more stuff done.

Yeah, in my case, I'm in a clan that plays a different game, Mount and Blade
and we all got in to haven and hearth.
My old character, was in a village of random peeps that nobody knew.
