Some words about 'Ukraine' village

Postby livercat » Sun Jul 11, 2010 7:32 pm

Hello, I'd like to share some facts about village 'Ukraine' located in south-eastern SGs.

Previously these guys stole our mine, so we settled not far away, near another copper mine and q40 water. This time we palisaded our lot and created a proper village.
Though, couple of days ago, they've broken into our palisade. I don't exactly know how they did it; our villagers swear that gates were always locked and palisade maintained solid. But let's assume someone forgot to close gates one day, fatal mistake of course.

Nevertheless, these guys have stolen all our silk and silkmoth eggs along with all iron instruments which we got by trade. We tracked clues and they led to this 'Ukraine' village.
This event have broken our will, so it seems all three settlers of our village 'Zhsloe' will leave game, at least until wipe.

We don't have skills for revenge and don't have valuable goods to hire mercenaries, so I just want to discourage you all from trading and interacting with this village.
Shame on you, 'Ukraine'.

First of all, I believe my villagers and their handling of gates. I just can't think of any other way to walk into a palisaded place :)
We all make mistakes, sometimes very serious ones. From global point of view those people didn't do anything evil - just walked in unprotected place and grabbed what they could.
This events shows us as n00bs, and villagers of Ukraine as lucky thieves.

They're dicks from our point of view, and from anyone's who doesn't like thievery in any form.

Thanks to all who offered their help via PS and in posts, but scents are already gone, 3-4 days passed.

In the future (if you continue playing, I can't tell from the way your post is written), read the defense guide and have proper defense, also don't think that just being a peaceful town will get you far, be ready to attack those that attack you, leaving those who were obviously aggressive towards you alive and not working to kill them all ASAP is a mistake, a big one. :/
