What happenned to crossroad to Constantinople?

I just tried to use my crossroads to Constantinople for a trade and it appears it is gone. Can someone tell me whats going on and is this happening to anyone else?

Is there a new one or something, cause I have to trek my way all the way back down there if there is, and if there is a new one why wouldn't everyone been told about it before it was changed so we could get another one?

from what i've heard it has been vandalized and the city of RiverFlame? is tracking down the criminals for it. Not sure if thats completly accurate but i know its been Vandalized.

Well, many of us are affected by the destruction of the crossroads at Constantinople, so anyone who wishes to get involved in seeking justice is of course welcome.

What I can tell you is that we know the culprits very well, they have been plaguing the hearthlands for quite some time and are responsible for a vast number of raids and senseless murders the last couple of weeks. It is also the same group of scum reponsible for the recent spate of raids on a number of villages.

We have since the destruction of the crossroads at Constantinople already razed 2 of their strongholds down to nothing, these being Ironcliff in the NE (yes Bisjac, the guys you refused to believe exists) as well as Fort Ross in the central grid. We also believe that we have killed the kingpin of their operation yesterday, the very same person who so proudly claimed responsibility for the destruction of the crossroads. We have a shortlist of members of this faction that we intend to bring to task in the same manner as well as locations of more of their bases of operation.

Anyone who feels that they have information that may assist in cleansing the heartlands of this scum, please feel free to PM any of the members of Sodom.

I don't get why they're destructible. Yes, on one hand being able to attack them allows for hurting the enemy's infrastructure, but with them working as they do, this is a very simple, easy way to grief. All they need is a character with vandalism, which can be earned in a day or two on a new character if you just do enough boring work like building roads (Judging by my making 70k my first day on my alt just paving roads; I'm sure others can do better). For all we know they could just remake characters and smash it again every time you rebuild it. Center of trade single-handedly destroyed by some idiot who was bored and had a lot of free time.

It is beyond me why anyone would believe that if a city owned by Sodom is attacked, we would sit back and wait for someone else to punish the crime, but well.
As Sarge already pointed out help is very welcome. Those criminals have a very vast network of towns and strongholds and even Sodoms ressources in warriors are limited because people have to sleep at some point. So any rangers or soldiers from other towns are welcome to apply to help us out with this operation. Best thing is to contact a member of Sodom on IRC I guess. I will not be around for the weekend so please don't pm me.

Don't forget that those criminals destroyed the possibility to trade for a broad majority of towns in the hearthlands!

How are you going to filter out the good info from the bad? It's bad enough people already don't trust one another based on language. Finger pointing is going to be rampant here.

I seriously don't mind Sodom acting as protectors of the central grid and criminal acts there, but destroying villages and people scare me simply because of finger pointing.

As an example, what if someone unknowingly trades with an accused or even known to you but not to the trader " one of them"?

In America it was called McCarthyism (?) a lot of innocent people had their lives ruined.

isn't it over extending a bit beyond committing a criminal act and going after a scent that proves a crime is committed?

To my Tri-cities friends who died at the hands of this rabble and to whom I also finally succombed, I hope this brings you as much satisfaction as it did me. I waited a very long time to return the favour and it was worth it.
