Stop trollling. Your own quote makes you look like an idiot. The grown ups are having a discussion, you're bringing nothing to the table.

I don't think anyone will (or can) refute that carrot cakes offer higher PER than carrots and that it is well 'worth getting.' It is the making of it that people stumble about on. If someone offers you a chest of carrots or a chest of carrot cake, you're going to buy the carrots?

How do my posts not have a point? I've offered empirical evidence, discussed benefits, etc. You fail at reading comprehension if all you got out of my posts was that carrots cakes are fun (which they are) and that I reversed everything I said and agreed with Zamte (who is much better at this discussion thing than you are).

the point is that carrot cake, while it may be wonderful, and have a great ratio of FEP:hunger filled, and many other virtues to be extolled, is going to be expensive, hence "eat carrots" is advised.

price check on chest of carrot cake, please?

Oh you are changing your opinion now, glorious. It seems we have converted you!

Let me put it very simple so you'll be able to understand. If you say that carrot cakes are good if you don't have to make them or pay for them then sure, you are correct. Meanwhile in the real world where things aren't free...
A carrot cake simply isn't worth the time you have to invest into it to make it compared to the oh so much easier alternative that is carrots. Or are you claiming that somehow getting HQ bricks, sticks, wheat and water is easier than just stuffing a carrot in your face that you just plucked out of the ground? Or takes less time?
Perhaps if you had one amazing quality table and you didn't want to break it too much you'd prefer the cakes because they take less feasting per unit of Per they give. But this is so far from the point you are trying to make that I doubt you actually considered it.

Yeah, I glanced at your user info, saw a lack of avatar, and May 30, and just assumed you were new. Apologies.

As for milk. meh. I have two milk giving cows right now, and I only pull out maybe 18-20l a day (with two calves drinking from it though). Once these two calves grow up, both being female, and I can get them giving milk too, my milk production may not be such a problem anymore. The problem with cows is, it takes serveral IRL days for a female cow to get pregnant, then the calf is born like an IRL week later, then I lost track of how long the calves take to grow to maturity, but I'd be willing to bet it's something like 2-3 IRL weeks. Then you have to hope for females with good stats so they can give milk too. Building a good, decent milk herd takes months of work, and quite a bit of luck. I agree you can do clovers, and this is what I did at first too, but to do even my 4 racks of cheese was taking 24 clovers. I was spending a good couple hours looking for clovers every time I needed some more milk. It gets old real quick.

I am kinda getting tired of this, but I believe, that the question of the cost for a slave is not yet thoroughly fixed.
How many carrot cakes do you guys think could sb demand for becoming a slave for say two weeks?
Of course there must be different prices for high and low lvl chars, also the quality of his equipment, his influence and his need for good carrot cake should play a role.
So just generally, where do you guys/gals see the prices? How much would you demand?
