Higher level clay?

Postby Harunobu » Mon Feb 14, 2011 12:02 pm

Is there any trick to this? I assume it goes up all the way to 100? I searched all over and I think I already was lucky to find quality 13 clay.

Are there any tricks or can someone just tell me where I can find it?

You can't really find any high Q clay anymore.
Since clay is one of the most visible and most sought resources the high Q nodes were most likely taken within the first few days.

You might try your luck though in locations far away from rivers, since people won't bother that much walking across land.

Low Q anyways is pretty common - made a new character yesterday and found 3 different clay spots ( 13, 16 and 25 ) within a 20 minute span of walking on foot, neat alternative to lumberjacking aswell.

I tried the 13 closest mud flats in the area. Should I try move even further away? I did already realize your suggestion and tried landlocked mudflats.

A lot of spots that seem to be low q clay could in fact be high q, it's just that there's too many people digging so they can't recover.

I suppose it must be a very very lively area though for dropping a Q40+ Node down to for example Q13.

But it indeed might be the case for some.

I wouldn't hope to find anything beyond Q60 at this stage of the game, unless you intend to take over few nodes from other people.

Not really, I have a q37 node and it dropped to q10 after I built 10 kilns and I made ~1300 bricks.
