I can't help but feel the only reason you have an issue with this is because you wouldn't be able to "play the game" the way you'd like (botting)

Yes but how do you even begin to fix it? Its kinda impossible with a mmo not the size of Blizzard.

A good example is MineCraft world gen. Even after adding bunch of content after months of coding players end up falling asleep seeing the same exact world generated structure the world gen spit out. Sometimes strange cutoffs and unexpected code makes it look interesting and funny but its not exactly. "O wow I never seen that, and o shit whats that. Man this game is crazy. I have played for 5 months and I keep finding new things all the time."

Xcom wrote:This is exactly what will happen in Haven 2. Don't illude yourself of thinking that JnL will go out of there way adding ruins and shit so you can go explore it when your traveling the same route you walked the nth time getting to the outpost you built last week. We won't get super fancy worlds with detailed art and interactive spawn-able content where you seldom walk down the same route and find new things to explore every time. Its wishful thinking from a 1 man coding gig.

You haven't really thought it through. Content takes 100x longer to add then to explore so you often end up doing just that "walk endlessly for hours looking at the exact same biomes". Specially a game that is relying on the basis that every structure is player made.

Wow excellent points, dumbass! Maybe now you'll understand why I have been pushing suggestions (my own and others) so hard and shutting down shitty and cynical opinions like your own for about... oh the past year or so.

Jesus christ.

Didn't notice this before but I think that's fuckin' hilarious coming from you.

Kaios is that another one of your emo moments? Nothing constructive to add? I know your PMSing but you could at least try be a bit constructive.

I do really fear they are doing changes that ultimately will end up rutting the game from the ground up. I really don't think they give a flying fuck about anyone's opinion here on the forums so I guess its best spending time with whatever is left. Haven 2 will most likely end up shallow and a nockoff of this game. Literally anything that is good about havens endgame content is being carved out and replaced by grindy and boring time gates. The idea is to improve the game by giving the players a sandbox choice. Instead they force everyone into a narrow tunnel vision of a game of theres. We can only play with there toys the way they intended it.

I hope at least they listen to at least one single thing out of every idea out there. Focus on adding more endgame content or at least preserve it and try resisting the urge to hammer everyone on the head as soon as they pull something unexpected with the game mechanics. Try adding content that is proven to last long instead of inventing and forcing everyone into your intentional content.

This video about Helmar Peterson CEO of EvE online was very interesting when he talked about unexpected features and how he had to just accept it and go forward instead of clubbing the players over the head.

I was being quite constructive until you arrived. (I should add, just not in this thread)

Anyways,

>completely bashes current (possible) direction(s) of game

Can't find the words to express his ideas or feels defeated and lashes out. 3000 posts and yet doesn't know what a derail is. Goes into in emo rage and starts a ad hominem assult. Does this in nearly every single thread he shows up in. Never knows when to stop posting. Always must have the last word.

Ladys and gents, Kaios

Edit: Sorry mods. Feel free to remove if to much derail.

I hope you realize the first two posts I even responded with were more constructive than anything you have said so far.

By the way I watched the shitty eve video, not sure how it relates at all and basically everything the guy says is total jargon anyways to people who have never played it. But yeah sure very "constructive."

Also I'm more like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RijB8wnJCN0

Just here lurking, Waiting for Haven 2.0.

Does anyone know of any free games to pass the time ? I've tried about all of them, So if you mention a lesser known game that still has a decent population that would help me alot, Thanks.
