It doesn't matter if your minecraft server has a whole 800 people. It's still not the same thing. You run a program, it does the work. At the most you have some stupid wrapper program that lets you modify extra stats. You don't have coding to do, models and textures to make, constant bugs to fix, etc etc.
Running a minecraft server is more like hosting a ventrilo server than it is developing a game.
As for saying it's "badly run", I didn't hear anybody said that. It's more like we're saying it doesn't exist, or if it does you're greatly exaggerating. Considering you continue to say "the server I op" rather than actually linking or naming it. By the way, being an op just means you get to kick little shits. That's not even close to administration.
Being an op on a minecraft server isn't even on the same level as running a ventrilo server.
