Higher level clay?

So can someone tell me where on the map are the high quality clay nodes? And if access is restricted, how do I destroy the totem protecting it? This is unfair to new players.

Nodes are scattered randomly. Nothings unfair, everyone fights for resources If you want to take a node or take from a node, you'll need to either use black skills to steal from it, build a village to declaim the personal land ownership, or kill anyone there/let the village claim decay and take it for yourself. This is not a stagnant world but you will have to use force to take what others have taken first.

Fair for you might be unfair to others, and vice versa. Veteran players might think that grinding all the way to yeomanry fast enough to get a high QL clay is fair, but noobs(you/me as example) see it as unfair, just as veteran players might think it unfair that newbs complain about this fact all the time. To quote some famous person(s) who I do not know the name(s) of, "Only the strongest will survive" or "Natural Selection favors the strong"(Darwin), and so on and so on.

Uuh, how is it 'unfair' that people complain about unfairness? It doesn't affect the game beyond making it worse.

Yes, the survival of the fittest. This means unfair games lose to fair games. This means this game loses.

I know someone that made a level 40 quality water well. Should I really claim that area for myself before anyone else does and deny everyone else?

So, someone took the time to explore the area, build their character up, and claim a resource so that they could use it and share it with their village. They take the time, energy, and risk to go out and collect resources from it. You roll up on a 2 day old character, can't immediately take the first node of clay that's next to you, and suddenly the game is vastly unfair to you. You're not willing to explore on your own, conquer the area, steal from the area, or work with others to buy clay or share it. You are the epitome of what no one in this game wants as either a fellow villager or hearthling. You hit a bump in the road and you give up, blaming everything and everyone for cheating you out of what clearly should have been yours. Grow up.

It's a competitive rather than a cooperative game. If you take high-yield minerals in Starcraft 2 you deny the other player their use, but that doesn't mean that the whole resource model is somehow flawed.

Well, it is basically cheating. It is impossible for me to get good resources as they are all blocked off by other players. And it forces me to block off Q 40 water from others, basically stealing it from them, when I don't want to.

Don't compare it to Starcraft. I am a C- terran on iccup. Starcraft is a fair game. In Starcraft you don't get to mine more resources than everyone else in the game because you joined the game earlier. It's a retarded comparison. Don't some chobo talk about Starcraft to me.
