The value may be 30 soak for palisades. Datoneguy even said there are 2 known and a possible third person even capable of destroying a pali without a ram. but noone can seem to give names, nor real facts it appears.

I speak of vicious rumors that are being spread about my area that my village resides in. I am trying to recruit, Port Eryie has not been raided, destroyed, looted, killed or had any drama with any of its members for two months.

...yet datoneguy makes allegations, fear mongering as it were that this is not a place to be.

1. before you mouth off, give real facts that can be backed up with evidence. ( I provided mine, gave a quote and link, I receive nothing but ascertains from you and datoneguy )
2. answer the relevant questions I asked rather than spew garbage just to be noticed.
3. if you can't, then keep your unintelligible English out of this thread, it is for recruiting not harassing.

Because those people obviously want to stay anonymous. Maybe you want to share your str, con, UA and Melee skill, or that of your co-villagers? I'm sure raiders can make good use of the information.

But it WAS destroyed before that, because whoever was in control didn't know shit about security (from what I understood there was a crossroads from another village that went INTO Port Eyrie), and judging by what I've read, the person in control still doesn't know shit about security. Because it isn't a place to be. Your place has a history, and the entire northern area has a history. Hell, NOWHERE in the hearthlands are you perfectly safe, and that's a well-known fact. Dog merely warned you about how unsafe the area was and suggested you take the necessary precautions. He could have just sat back and watched you get your ass handed to you.

Sorry to say, but it's you who's acting like a tard. Avu is a complete asshole but he literally wrote the book on defending your village. Darkren manages the wiki, which is the comprehensive guide to the entire game. DatOneGuy is also quite knowledgeable about the game, even if he does sound like a arrogant know-it-all at times.

You have so far ignored helpfull advice from all three (including a offer to trade you iron) and called them all trolls, anyone stupid enough to let you be their LS deserves the inevitable raid.

The problem I think is, things change. Potjeh was not insulting you. Right after the change to make damage = sqrt(str), Jorb even said that the goal was to make rams a required part of raiding. During this period of time, everything Potjeh said was true. Now it is not. They lowered the soak on palisades I think mainly because with them both so high, it made the distinction between palisade and brick irrelevant. There was no point to building brick walls if palisades were still near impassible (if you're paying attention to your walls and checking for rams, anyways), so it was modified. The information is just outdated. What you're being told here is in fact correct.

I started a new alt with some friends of mine who wanted to try the game and we ended up settling just north of your lake up the river on the grasslands. We enjoyed the game a while, until a neighbor decided he ought to come steal all of our stuff. I had gone down to my old camp in B2, took me a few hours to get there, to retrieve some old chests I had left there, brought them back and they were stolen from us a few days later. At another point I had a strange man in a necromancer's robe wandering around my yard with a ranger's bow. if you want some more references, just go look at the destruction of the tricities, prontera, ravencrest (think it was crest), or the "Fires of the north" thread currently going on. There is a massive group of raiders up there who seem to have no interest in anything but controlling as much territory as possible, and if you do in fact wish to run a village up there, then you will be more successful if you take the proper precautions. DatOneGuy's post was directed more at what he perceived as issues with your own security. He wasn't really trying to keep people away. What caused that was your insistence that he's incorrect and refusal to take constructive criticism that could have saved your character and those of any future villagers.
