i dont believe we threatened all players everywhere, i think in this topic we threatened a single village.
and what is this fear you tell me im not spreading? well success then, because i wasn't trying to.

there have been threats to us from players that claim to "save" those we conflict. several already in this topic even.
funny how a liberation like that would actually harm the villages they claim to save.

we make the rules.

such a linear game your rules enforce.
i guess we can all world-of-warcraft it up. and everyone play the same 1 gamemode, simply to please a few players that cant imagine it any other way.
inside the box is safe.

we are happy. the ones we conquer are very happy.
the only people not happy, are those not affected either way.

You sure sound like Kim Jong-Il here. In North Korea everyone is happy too after all. Also explain why we enforce a linear game, with our approach being that everyone can do what he likes as long as he doesn't threaten innocents...

If joining you is such a wonderful thing, why do you have to use threats?

Village A and Village B are already in conflict over a copper mine.
they are within 15 min travel down river from us.
we had been on contact but not really on interaction terms with either of them
We go in and take the mine and wall it up with our own gate.
well say hey A, B and i see quiet C over there. you are all part of our expanded territory.
after plenty debate, after plenty of explanation of the benefits, everyone agrees its best to be part of the empire.
everyone gets a copy of that mine key, everyone is told where the nearest tin is as well.
they are instructed to overlook the wall upkeep, and to share it among the nearest
it turns out, village B's clay patch over there is of better Q then ours, and even we go home happy.
-------------------------
now where i am better off, if village F way over there's iron mine is being used by some random boaters that just broke the wall down, village A, B, C, D, E, G, and our TOH village are all running to help at the drop of a hat.
its not MY security, just because i have a wall around my village. i have to imagine all possible enemies within an hours travel. and so do they camps near me.

Im not out there with a big heart, helping out camps all over. i do think of my own expansion.
But in the end its all of our securities that improve.

now the nearest other village is 45min away, with a landmass to cross with a damn boat over my head.
there is no strategic reason we will ever try to expand that way. we are generally safe.

and now all villages with us are 100% self sufficient where they weren't before, as a new community. we dont trade each other. we dont have to.

----------------------
you asked why we threats

I went in that mess for my own benefit.
but they dont want to hear about what i have to gain.
i would rather they be the new eyes and ears in that direction of the supergrid, then killing each other off, leaving me vulnerable.

its a pain in the ass making other people happy. but it is possible. and i gain lots from it.

well no one is complaining now.
im not making them farm for me or shine my shoes.
they have far more then they started with.
and yes, i totally admit. im in the center of it all safer then before, goal complete.

you all are so use to random attacks on villages for the mere increase of items. for or against you.
but there are other reasons to be militant on this game.

edit;
my comment on making them happy.
the only reason any village would agree to take part in the goals of a single empire is if they feel they have the same advantages all the players did. and if they felt safe.

remember that Valhalla village? i gave those mines away to the nearby camps that joined up.
while 2 of those members directly joined our village, and 2 fled.

Stop blowing this way out of proportion, Not many peolpe live in our sg and most choose to join us peacefully.

We offer protection to villages under our control.

Your simple barbarians and there is no excuse big enough to hide this fact. The Central Asian Homelands stand up for peace and freedom. Your vlliany will not go unpunished.

and who exactly will you stick that sword into? the very villagers that lived there that just stepped out of our gates?
that would be a little counteractive wouldn't it?

Very interesting. This strategy worked for the Romans, among others.

If it were my village, however, I would fight you.

Pretty much means that the ones directly inside TOH have either planned for this or a lot of people inside do not know about what you guys are doing.

And for the record, someone out there is watching. No it's not me.
