Chicken eggs vary in color depending on the hen, typically ranging from bright white to shades of brown and even blue, green, and recently reported purple (found in South Asia) (Araucana varieties).

I just don't know how to respond to this. The white eggs you buy at a supermarket aren't white? Aren't eggs? :)

Eggs vary a lot in their hue, but the iconic Egg(tm) with capital E is most definitely white.
