Where are all the Rabbits!?

Hey,
I used to play ages ago and I remember there were TONS and TONS of rabbits around. Now when I need a bone for a saw I can't find one after about an hour of searching. Am I missing something?

EDIT: And to answer your question, animals are more scarce now.
