Wolves & Domesticated Canines

What this post suggests, is having canines appear in the game in form of wolves and dogs.

Wolves

Wolves travel in packs, are aggressive and territorial, they aren't much stronger than a fox but their AI and Number balances it out.

Wolf packs spawns in groups of 2~4, each one has a alpha male which is the leader of the pack. The other wolves follow this alpha male.

Killing the leader of the pack results in the wolves fleeing, but only if the number of the pack is less than 3 (including the alpha male).

They are dangerous as a group, and never spawn as a single animal.

Dogs

You can domesticate wolves the same way as other animals. The result is a dog.

Dogs can be fed only raw meat, and their quality raises and drops according to the Q of the raw meat. Bones are an exception since high Q bones are a treat for them.
Quality level can only rise by 1 per ingame day. If they do not eat within 24 real time hour, they will start losing 1 quality every hour until it drops to 0 (instant death to dogs).

Quality is capped to 200.

The stats of dogs are dependent on the quality they have.

Example Formula:
Str = [Base 10] + sqrt(Q * 2) (Affects max damage by +1 Max damage for every Str)
Agi = [Base 10] + sqrt(Q * 2) (Affects speed in combat)
Con = [Base 10] + sqrt(Q * 2) (Affects health by +1 HP for every Con)

Dogs can be tasked to protect a claim (only personal claim) and will sit at it's kennel (you construct it) and guard the area in a radius as wide as a beehive.
The dog will aggro any players that trespass into that radius, theft, or vandal. They cannot enter houses. Dogs cannot murder unless their Strength is greater than the target's [CON * 2].

It is possible to make your dog follow you to hunting, and this means you will have skills to "command" your animal to hunt. Be aware that your dog is much weaker than most other animals in terms of stats and damage as they are designed to have a role of support.

Dogs could have some means of expanding a ranger's ability to track scents, since their senses are much greater than players.
