Characters "are there" (Character List Empty)

Hi guys, i just logged in and found myself a blank character list. It was alright after the server was up yesterday, but not today. Searched the forum, no signs of data wipe or anything. Anyway, i just tried to create a new character, but i saw my dead character tombstone at the creation area and i can't use the name of those characters that are alive and kicking. ("You already have a character by that name"). So i guess, my characters still existed but i just can't see them on the character list after i logged in. Does anyone have the same problem or knows why? (fyi; I'm using the offical client). Thanks!

It's not a bug, your character is dead. If you left any scents, you most likely were summon-killed.
Your character still "exists" in the database as your ancestor, but you can no longer play it, of course.
If you want to use exactly the same name again, you can create a new account, at the cost of not being able to inherit.

My bad! I found out the tombstone is indeed for my "alive" character. Well, i wonder how i get killed...Only remember i got disconnected and the next thing i know when i logged back in is the "empty character list". Don't remember doing anything that might cost my life (like leaving scents etc)...Well, i'm dead within my own plot of land, maybe a bear stomp by when i'm looking away XD Anw, thanks alot of the reply! Hm, now... wonder how to delete/close this topic...
