So i question are russians asian? because technically they are in Asia.

It's not that stupid of a question, considering most of Russia is actually in Asia. However, most of the Russians you play with online and pretty much the majority of the population live in cities like Moscow and St.Petersburg which are much closer to Europe than Asia and so are usually considered part of Europe/Eurasia. Places like Siberia are technically in Asia, so the people living there would be Asian. You can tell by their customs, which can be similar to places like Mongolia, as well as how they look, since many look, well, "asian", though not all. Most of the Asian territories of Russia are very sparsely populated.
The Russians you're probably talking about are from European, though most Russians just consider themselves "Russian", rather than Asian/European. It's like asking if Indians are Asian. While India is in Asia, most people just consider themselves "Idian" and not "Asian" because they are so different than a lot of Asia.
