Nah, it's ok, I heard from him, asked him about it cause it seemed highly uncharacteristic for him to do so and it seems you were in the right - turns out he did that cause he had a hard time quitting the game and he needed to quit to get his academic life in shape, so getting himself killed and persecuted seemed like the best deterrent against playing, lol
