Trolls and palisades/brick walls?

Postby stazy » Mon Dec 02, 2013 6:29 am

We started mining recently and I am worried about Trolls. If we build walls can he knock them down? I know this topic has been discussed before but I couldn't find it and am curious. I also know that in world 7 some things changed. Thanks in advance for your input and insight. Much appreciated.

Trolls can bash BW cornerpost in seconds.

From watching Xcom's videos, it looks like sign posts will protect you. However since I've never personally dealt with a troll, I could be horribly wrong.

Think those are more to just stop it for a moment so you have an extra moment to escape. If they can bash walls of any kind, a signpost isn't going to be more than a pebble on the road.

I think devs made a fix for that, so trolls can't bash bwall anymore. But I wouldn't be 100% sure unless they can confirm it here.

Ofc they will pathfind around it now because you can't tame it, but if it were enclosed in one (or you were) it would bash it, I'm pretty sure.

They are broken. So i suggest you to always when you start mining new area, make alt + hf down there, so you can spawn new char to keep him from despawning and you can escape in house/up the ladder and don't worry about your miner/main char getting killed.

Just don't forget to put a steel plate or any other good armor on the miner, so you survive a hit or two. (100 ua wouldn't hurt either)
