@Leusoj. I was planning on doing expansion for my farm but it turned out to be my undoing which was my mistake.

Summary: It is not allowed to build a gate into an existing, but open, gate, nor a normal wall segment. Everything else, including building a complete 360° wall around your actual wall, or just simply adding a second gate two tiles away from your, like it happend here, is allowed.
