2.5 weeks and my birch trees hadn't converted anything underneath them.

Unless we're talking about when the tree hits final stage (which can take forever).

Also many trees grow faster than 1 week. Mulbs are 2 days on native, birch 3 days.

Yeah, the terrain conversion occurs when the tree hits full maturity.

Actually trees convert terrains each time they grow to the next state. If you are trying to terraform with a tree that is not on native terrain, the initial attempt will be slow. Afterward, just use trees on the terrain that the first has converted.

Yeah, Sevenless, that's the easiest way. Otherwise you have to wait to spot it on the minimap when they update.

Patchouli, I've never noticed it until the trees mature. Maybe it's due to the fact that the minimaps do take some time, up to a few days, to update.
