I'm making a gate for my palisade. I presently have ended with a cornerpost extending all the way from my initial cornerpost, and must make a second initial cornerpost two spaces away to allow for a gate. If I seal the cornerpost extending from my initial cornerpost, will I be unable to make a gate?

i.e. Can you build a gate from a sealed cornerpost?

You only need one unsealed cornerpost to make a gate, so yes, you can make a gate with one cornerpost sealed.

Thx for quick response. ;)

You're welcome ;]

Have you made metal nuggets from bars yet?

Hi all and thx Grim again. :D

I took this time to answer to be sure of what I was going to say. I have not peppershakers in any one of my toons menu. So must be something I have not done yet.
I did experiment with 2 of them, one with all the skills already bought and the other one lacking theft and rage I mentioned before.
What I did:
1- Digging/discovering sand and crafting raw glass.
2- Making nuggets and making the nuggets back to bars, I used iron, did not had any other metal at that moment, but the Wiki says any soft metal.
3- Harvested pepper and made all the way up to black pepper grains.

So anyone can imagine what I can possibly be missing to craft peppershakers?, please.

Having surrounded your minehole with build signs (one row) makes it impossible climbing up the ladder from below. Also if minehole inside your village with BW you should do an extra BW around minehole (but leave some space between hole and bw)...next would be bw in minehole... ;)

I noticed that the wiki article on trees doesn't give any maturation times but there's a table set up for it. Is that due to lack of knowledge (least likely) ? If I was given all the info I would put it all in. Well, to the best of my ability I would.

It's due to lack of knowledge/testing. Right now is also not best time as me and a few others are suspecting that there is actual serverwide slowdowns which make the game slower than normal. If you would like to test, go ahead and gather times. It would need to be checked frequently however, I mean specifically every hour on the hour for every stage of a tree.

I can only see the issue being related to the menu it's meant to show up being inaccurate, or some faulty coding not making it register correctly. Also, you're going to want to make a peppermill instead of a pepper shaker, as a peppermill is the one which holds the dried pepper drupes, which is the ingredient needed by things like bierwurst.

In my experience, the server has run /faster/ than real life. e.g. 24 hour curios completing in 20 or 21. This has happened several times.

The problems with setting up a table for tree growing are:

You have to take times on trees "home" soil

You have to take times on trees all "non home" soils

You have to consider that even 2 trees (both seeds from same mother plant on same herbalist, same q pots, soil, water) planted 7 tiles away of each other (with 7 tiles free all around them each) at the same time by 2 ppl with same stats had very different growth times...tested in W5 with different fir and birch...

anyways i do it like: When it's done it's done :P

!even i'd appreciate that lotta work someone would put in such a table!

When calculating the damage a bow will deal to a deer, how is a deer's damage resistance calculated? It is a solid number, or influenced by agi, perc, etc?
