My enders client bugged up somehow today..
My mini map which was working fine this morning now only shows colors/shapes no detail. I've tried ticking and unticking simple map, reinstalling java, and redownloading enders client, but no luck. I'm using Windows Vista (if that's relevant at all...) and I have Java 7 update 5 & JDK 7 update 5.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

Probably best to report that on the Enders Client thread itself. Although I have been having the same problem. Its basically the simplified map, just not loading detail.

That's normal. It happens.

Minimaps take a while to render, read on for why. As of this afternoon/evening, minimaps were beginning to show up.

Here's how the minimap works:

Since the game world is mutable by the players, the server can't just generate a static map. Instead, it has to render a display map based on the map data. This usually takes server cycles and the more people playing, the longer it takes. (From what I've noticed, it's a low priority thread.) This means it can take a day or two for any changes to the map data (such as building a path or turning mudflats into grassland). Also, the minimap is made up of two parts: the base map and the overlay. The base map is just the terrain type with nothing else shown. Paved areas, rivers, and general terrain type. The overlay is where all the trees, cliffs, and outlines are displayed. Rendering the minimap is an even bigger annoyance at the beginning of the world because the server hasn't generated any of the display maps. Once the display maps are rendered, they can be cached and then re-rendered only if map data has changed.

If one is using a client such as Ender's, the raw base map is displayed without the overlay. (It's the overlay that takes a long time to render. The raw map data is displayed very quickly.) It's getting this raw base map that allows Ender to display the caves in the minimap window, too.

Quick note: I don't know exactly how the server works to render the minimap, so I might have made statements that may not be exactly correct. However, the general ideas should line up with the way things work.

I.ve play in little settlement with few guys with palisade. Yesterday someone ride it. Owner keept key to gate in one of containers (lol?). They killed 2 guys and close gate (joker raiders ). My question: is there any way to go out/port behind palissade ?

No, unless you have a village idol and crossroads you cannot port, you will have to ram the gate and build a new one.

1. If you are able to destroy your own HF, do it and you can port to random places or join a village and port to village idol. You'll need 36 STR to destroy it with bare hands, or 25 STR with a stone axe, or 16 STR with a pickaxe. Stone axe adds one damage to building when destroying and pickaxe adds 2.

2. Build a ram, grab all materials and build it, break the wall and you're free.

3. If you have skills that allow you to leave summonable scents, and a friend that have ranging, let your friend take a scent and summon you outside.

4. Get somebody outside the wall to break it for you. Some people'd ask for reward while some others would help you for free. If you're gonna ask for help, better to post here : viewforum.php?f=29.

When using the Forge Prayer at an Ancestral Shrine, does the metal nugget received count as a discovery, or must I first discover the metal elsewhere?

P*E always let me find more forajebles or there is some cap after what more P*E is useless in terms of forajing? I got 30k P*E, will i find 3x more things if i will have 90k?
