/e also i heard about people tunnel mining without supports?

Someone said you need to click the top right of the tile when mining and no cave ins, how does this work

There are two supportless mining methods people use: Snake mining and straight mining. There are some gifs people made for the two of them, if you used the search function I'm sure you could find them.

I just started this game. Following the forum beginning instructions, I emptied the chest but when I go to my equipment there's nothing there. Nothing in the chest either. And I'm naked as the day I was born! What am I supposed to do? Does it matter that I'm playing on an older MacBook?

You have an Inventary too - stuff should be there ( left one in the "bow row" where your char + equipment icons are) - don't know about Mac - on windoofs it's "TAB" to open - doubleclick clothes to drop on char...
