Yes indeed. Anything that impedes player movement, even other players, will stunt growth.

Hello. I just started playing HnH very recently and I'm having this annoying thing happen.

Whenever I try and build something, anything, that requires a construction site, I get an error message saying that this building site does not have the materials.
When this happens, I have the materials right in my backpack.
What am I supposed to do?

You need to place the materials inside the contruction sign, they are not to be used from your back pack.

Ah, okay! I got it. D'oh...

Other than that, when I'm standing right by a lit fire with a piece of raw meat that I got myself, from the critter, why do I get the message, "You need a fire to roast meat."?

Well, nevermind... Seems I need only to right-click the fire, then click the craft button for the meat to begin to roast.

indeed be aware that you can again un-select it when right-clicking it a second time in some cases.
Also, the crafting menu is clickthrough except for the 'craft' and 'craft all' buttons

I've been wanting that black brickwall reskin, but the download link doesn't work.
DDD's has said that he doesn't have it anymore:
