Even thought there is a small playerbase, there are still raids. Most people now can destroy a palisade in a minute or two, so you should still check your walls on an alt before you log in, and store any valubles you have on another alt.

Man, that level of paranoia is just plain unfun. It's better to just die and lose everything than to be forced into those habits.

Says the person that doesn't play.

Yeah, as Cranny said, you need a BW.

Although, a while ago I was on a noob just boating around and I met a guy who lived on the side of a river in the sg behind a roundpole fence. He had a Runestone outside saying 'Please don't destroy my stuff, I'm just a peaceful farmer' I harvested one of his carrots that was off his claim and it was 150+q (I got 76 or something)
He made me smile.

Ah, you act like I don't know the score. Yes there will always be raiders and those intent on killing you and/or taking your things. This is still much more fun to embrace and deal with than having to manage multiple keyalts and chugging wine until you're blue so that you can leave the your home and then go back in. This irrational fear of death kind of detracts from a major aspect of the game -- dying. =)

Besides, what is a vast open world if you've never been more than 10 steps outside of your walls? I've tried plenty of both styles of play and I was far happier when I kept my key on me and wandered around aimlessly outside of my walls.

Currently living in a mine hole and I have a question.

What happens to below ground structures/objects if someone builds a minehole over them? I know building the minehole itself creates a small area that you cant build anything on but what happens to things that are already there? Is everything destroyed/displaced? Or are you not allowed to build the hole if it is above a house or whatever?

The minehole fails and all of the resources put into it are wasted. Your buildings are fine.

ok, this is on tree quality. Before anyone gets worked into a tizzy, I have read the forum and wiki both. I understand what makes up the quality. My question is rather at what point can I determine quality? Is it only when the tree is at full maturity? does enders show quality when it's a sapling in the pot? The reason I ask is because I used the calculations on the wiki and my tree should have been around 18 (-2, +5) but ended up as q10. Now This could have been the seed I planted before I found some decent water and soil but I honestly can't recall. So actually looking back at my original question, I guess there is actually 2. At which point can I truly determine quality ( as in any time before fully mature?) and is the wiki formula still correct?

Sorry I realize it's a noob question but that's what I am so don't hate on the tiny noob. Thanks in advance

You must have a fully updated client, and to extend your claim, right click on the claim totem (don't use ctrl+l)

Update your Ender's Client.

But I had a fresh install so it must already be upda-

No. The fresh install is not updated.

You need to download HnH_Ender_upd_06.04.12.zip
