Correct.

actually the most important thing when working wood quality is your saw. a nice bear bone(q200 standard for bear bones) gives you a pretty good saw...

just for example a quality 100 saw used on a standard q10 tree gives you a q31 board while a q10 saw(rabbit bone) and a q40 tree only gives you a q20, so saw quality is just as important(more important) than tree quality

Oh that's right, i forgot to think about tools used, thanks for the reminder

edit:

another question:

If I use vandalism to become lawspeaker of a village on a claim, will my scents remain if I then remove the claim?

Yes indeed. Once the deed is done, the scent will stay.

Alot of the calculations are made based on the simple adding and dividing.

( ( Meta Calderon + Water / 2 ) + average of Bones ) / 2 = Qboneglue

I'm sure it will be coming out that way.

Also note that the server does integer rounding in odd places so sometimes Qs come out 1 lower then the mathematical formula shows.

lol...thats actually a good question, last time I made bone glue I think I got q3 using q10 bones q19 water and a q37 clay cauldron(can't remember what stats I had to softcap it though)

sandcastles are the only thing that really matter for bone glue quality(atleast thats all that comes to mind) and they're not that great as curios because of their size and weight...so I don't think its something anyone has ever decided to work out.

edit:Xcom posted while I was posting, thats the basic formula for most items(2X base item + tool + fuel/water / 4) but there are lots of times where it doesn't fit, but its usually easy to test

Updated the wiki regarding the cauldron equation. Hopefully that helps anyone trying to figure out quality's using cauldrons.

I'm not sure if this rumor is true but I have herd that higher quality rams can be dragged more then lower quality ones. If this stupid buggram can be fixed high bone glue quality might be a good resource.

Thanks Xcom, that really helps more than anything. Been trying to find the quality of a cauldron I found in an abandoned village and the only thing I could figure out was that it was better than my original cauldron.
