There's no secret. You discover it by searching for metal on levels 5-2. You cannot locate gold or silver from the surface to my knowledge.

Would be nice to know what the changes are relative to the start of this world.

Grass: start NNNN^2 / 100%, current NNNNNN^2 / NNNN%
Gold: start NNN^2 / 100%, current N^2 / N.NN%

How long does it take for a tree growing on grassland to change a tile back into a Coniferous or Broadleaf forest, or is it just random?

When a tree changes to the next growth stage, it changes one(I think) tile into its preferred ground type. (for some ground types.)
Which tile is random.
Range: unsure. Think it was around 3x3 .. 5x5 around the tree spot.
Not sure if it will seek out a tile that's not in its preferred ground type. Probably not.

The time for a tree to change to the next stage (while its not on its preferred ground) seems 2x or 3x longer than when its on its preferred ground. (that's for all but the last state change (To fully grown. Or from stage 5 to 6. As that is random again.).)

I happen to find a scent today and see that the perp has no hf. Well i then check to see if he is dead or not, and it says he is not logged in. So then i try summon him on land and it says " you cannot summon people there'. Would anyone know why it is saying this to me?
