Ok I certainly misread what you meant. I thought you meant a simple trespass could. My next question is does this still hold true if you have the theft skill? Is this a universal situation or just a bug with trespass?

It holds true even when you have all the skills, but I agree it does seem like a bug or an oversight.

Yes, just the avarage of all pearls. String quality doesn't matter.

3 pearls, one gold nugget and a goldbeater's skin. You can usually buy a pair of RoBs with 8 to 10 pearls.
