Log back in at your hearthfire if you are able, and hopefully it isn't next to bear...

Depends on If it feels like want to kill you or not.
Yes it will disappear after 15 ~ 20 minutes if you stay logged out AND no one come to the bear. (Map unload/whatever)
But if it decides to kill you before so, you'll be killed.

If it gives up and STILL stay around, it'll more likely aggro you again once you're awake. This will take some time, though.

well heartfire wont work the fella came to my home so his defocating on my heartfire as we speak

If you are not in combat, your char will disappear after a few seconds so no worry. UNLESS it wanna be a dumbass and aggro you right after you log out, then your char will stay and you'll die.

What is the softcap for sausages?
On RoB wiki it states that it is softcapped by Cooking and Perception, but it's a bit confusing. I have understood that sausages are softcapped by the highest value chosen between Perception and Cooking. Is my theory correct?

No, the average value. So lets say you have 100 Cooking, 50 Perception, and you're making a quality 200 sausage

sqrt(Cooking x Perception) = ~70 Rounded
sqrt(100 x 50) = ~70.7

(Sausage + Softcap)/2 = 135
(200 + 70)/2 = 135

Note that softcapping only applies if the quality of your product is higher than the softcap.

If your sausage was q10 and your cooking and perception were 100 and 50, the sausage would still only be q10.
