I made chainmail shirt Q30 and i used w.iron Q15 to try and hammer Q97.
And i want to know Anvil Q. My str 119 and smithing 17 if this help.

so if the Wiki formula is right 30=(15*4 + x*1.5 + 97*1.5)/7
x = 0 wtf??? xD

(60 + 1.5x + 145.5) / 7 = 30
60 + 1.5x + 145.5 = 30 x 7 = 210
1.5x = 210 - 60 - 145.5 = 4.5
x = 3

so you have a 3q anvil... try to break it.

In theory it can be 3. But you'd have to do alot of effort to get q10- bricks by using q10- fuel on a q10 kiln to build a q10- smelter to fuel it with q10- coal so the q10 ore becomes q10- bars.

Where did you get that formula from? I can't find it.



((3 x 17) + (97 + x )/2) / 4 = 30
51 + (97 + x)/2 = 120
102 + 97 + x = 240
x = 240 - 199 = 41
x = 41

So your anvil is likely 41q...

i just made new anvil q50 and the final product quality is 25, but from old anvil quality was 30... so its not 41, its not less than 55

could make low q charcoal by chopping a crappy tree and make even lower than q10 bars...and if he made it from wrought iron I've seen some of that at q8 in an abandonned place I looted a few days ago. remember when making wrought iron theres a 20%(from memory here can't find the page) chance it drops in quality.

as far as your q25 shirt lets check your anvil...is it really q50 or did you use q50 metal to make it and softcap it with your horrible 17 smithing? if so you have a q33 anvil and Arcanist is right about your previous anvil being 41.

i find anvil... i tryed to make shirt... quality was 30
i made my anvil with all that stats below, and quality of shirt was 25
so if i used q50 iron FOR MY NEW ANVIL, the old anvil cant be q 41 it should be 55 not less.

am i wrong again?
